Challenge

With an IPO fast approaching at the iconic New York Stock Exchange, Vestis CEO Kim Scott challenged my team to differentiate the company from its better-known (and soon to be former) parent, Aramark, by avoiding “the usual business speak” and focusing instead on their mission to serve the people who wear their uniforms and use their products ever day.

Solution

We created original vignettes highlighting seven workers who wear Vestis uniforms. Each was crafted around the idea that while “others see dirty laundry,” Vestis sees the people behind the well-worn overalls, lab coats, and aprons.

For the Analyst Day activation, we designed and built four mini-experiences that used Vestis products to help tell each story, like a tomato-stained apron from Sandello’s, an Italian restaurant fighting to make its mark.

To up the ante for the Bell Ringing activation, deployed twelve actors across three custom stages, each featuring a unique vignette. We even had a three-piece brass band that got everyone, including our clients, dancing on Wall Street—but only after our fictional musical instrument company “repaired” the trumpeter's horn.

Big Praise from the Big Boss

“You and your team did an amazing job bringing our brand story to life for our customers and teammates. You nailed it: the thinking, the innovation, and the creativity!”

Kim Scott, CEO, Vestis Corp.
